I wonder if I should even wear pants to the graduation party...just to give them a taste of your life in Cincinnati Wink

Knowing my family, they may not even notice! Depending on what time we get there you may not be the first.

Hilarious!
I think I'm going to run to Clyde while you're working and hang out with Nicole. How long does it take to get to Clyde from Napoleon?

I'm not even sure, I've only done it once and I wasn't actually going "to" Clyde, I just ended up driving through it. I'll check it out....

Google maps says it's about 1 1/2 hours.

That makes sense I guess since BG is about 45 minutes east of Napoleon and Clyde 45 minutes east of BG (duh Bethany)

lol. It's o.k. it's Tuesday. Laughing

I'm going to email directions to you again, but I'm going to drive the route tonight to make sure I get it right. I never come in that way so I always forget when to turn etc... I'd send you the way everyone that lives here goes, but it's more turns and harder to explain, so I'm going to stick to the more direct route.

club me

This deal is getting more complicated by the moment. I'm struggling to get enough out of this deal to just pay the bills and now they're telling me it could be several months before they can close on the loan because of the county loan he's getting, which is making this so complicated I can't even get into it on here because I can barely explain it in person. This whole thing is making me ill.

The county that is loaning him the additional money required loaned another company $300,000 last year and didn't have them sign any loan documents so while that is being investigated, all new deals have new hoops to jump through. So while they aren't turning his loan down, he now has a ton more stuff to do to get that money. In the mean time the bank will not allow him to close on their loan until the other money is figured out and secured.

In the mean time they are suggesting we enter into the management agreement which we had drawn up for the liquor license but now will have to be rewritten to include renting the space and equipment to him because I have to carry the mortgage and other loans until this deal is closed. This just opens up a whole new can of worms.

In the mean time with the latest appraisal added to the real estate appraisal I'm now $20,000 below where I wanted to be. Which means I have nothing to start over with, but I'm ready to walk away anyway at this point because I'm so over it, it just means I may not be able to quit my job as soon as I thought. I'll end up moving my things and traveling back and forth until I find something.

I'm so confused myself, I'm stressed out and I'm just waiting to hear back from the buyer to see what he's thinking as well.

Can you transfer to a Cincinnati Wendy's? (didn't the regional manager give you a "sorry to see you go" speech or something?)

Ack. Pete I'm praying this is so frustrating!

there is no transfer possible because our franchise does not own any stores down there and you can't transfer between franchises.

It's a mess and I just have no idea what to do right now. My mind is all over the place, all I know is I'm ready to walk away from this place, I just don't care anymore. I consider this a very expensive lesson and I'm just ready to move on.

Well wait until you talk to the buyer and see where the chips fall. I'm sure something will get figured out. In the meantime I can always ask the Wendy's near my house if they're hiring Smile

Well a bottle of wine later I have the last three rooms clean, not perfect, but better than they were and a little more presentable. I'm calmer and should be talking to the buyer in 1/2 an hour to figure out this whole mess and figure out how to get this deal done signed and over with.
