So, I didn't watch the telethon tonight... mostly because I'm an emotional wreck as it is, and I didn't think it would help to sit blubbering in front of the tv... I saw bits and pieces though.... and if you didn't watch it, you should see if you could look up a video of Justin Timberlake singing Hallelujah... it was just an amazing performance.

Not really excited about today. But, who knows, maybe we are reaching a really critical moment with my grandma, and she will finally get help she desperately needs.
That is my hope for today, at least.

Came in at half a day thanks to the insurance guy. Probably working until at least 6.

work is done for the week...except what needs to be done at home...so that is a good feeling.

no big plans for the weekend, it is so cold outside, one of those times when you just want to curl up under blankets and watch movies.

I got called into work at 7am this morning so they let me go at 2pm a whole two hours early! I have 25 hours before I have to return to work, and now I don't know what to do with myself. I think a small nap is in my future, then to figure out what I want to do tonight.

Still no news from p.b. and still don't know what to think of it.

Well, I couldn't sleep last night and was up until after 2 and was up by 5:30. I don't really know how I am awake.

Hoping for a good day today. I want to see my students in a new light.

Tonight, a friend asked me to support her as she performs in a drama at the singles ministry. I am kind of really anxious about going. I hate that kind of thing. I need to let go of that kind of anxiety. It really doesn't help anything.

Friday, I was up on and off most of the night thanks to a snuggly dog and then took what I thought was the longest shower ever and was still ready for work almost 40 minutes early. So I read and little and lost track of time and ended up leaving 10 minutes late! Oh well.
More dogsitting tonight. They have quite a few movies I wanted to see on their HBO/Max on demand channels so I'll just be doing that all weekend

spending the morning of my day off at a meeting at work.

Then lunch with the rents and then I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm meeting a customer at 4:30pm so I can't go too far.

There is something about these events that transports me to seventh grade dances and I hate that feeling. And I hate to feel like I have been found lacking by people I don't admire in the first place!

We had a great day today! And I have been in a really good mood all day--i don't know why or how! Not that I mind!

I am having one of those days when everyone needs something from me, so I can't wait for it to be over....I am hoping that no one needs anything tomorrow, and that I can possibly get some of my own work done.

I just got called that I don't have to work at the bookstore tomorrow because of the snowpocalypse!
Picking up wine on the way home and planning on spending the rest of the weekend (until Sunday when I go to church) in my pajamas watching movies!

It's starting to get nasty around here so I've decided to stay in, well that and looking at my bank account is so depressing I'm afraid if I go out I'll be wasting gas. Damn property taxes.

I took a nap today waiting for my customer to show up and had a dream about my old boss and his wife and woke up with similar feelings of what I had when I lived in Michigan. It was strange, awful and made for waking up a strange feeling. It was as if the last nearly 5 years was the dream.

It's amazing how 5 years at a job can haunt you for the next 5 years. Every time I think I'm over it, a dream like this comes along and takes me back to that time of my life. Not everything about it was bad, but the dreams always take me back to the feeling of working for him.

I wonder when I'll finally get over this already! I'm starting to think it's the possibilities of starting over again just bringing this all back to the surface.

So, I just typed a big long thing out and then hit the close browser button on accident... don't ask. I'm currently at my first kitty sitting place. It's about 6 blocks over and 9 blocks up from work, so I parked out here this morning and walked to work. I'm getting ready to go exploring and then find some dinner. Then I'm coming back and starting a harry potter marathon (but I'm skipping chamber of secrets cause I couldn't find it. I've only ever been to nw pdx once before, so I'm kind of excited to see what's here.

I'm on glass of wine number 2 (and don't tell anbyone but they are big glasses )

We only ended up getting 6" or so which isn't much as far as I'm concerned...except when I have to shovel it
They recalculated last evening because the storm was turning and losing strength as it approached southern Ohio

I'm hopefully getting off work at noon today and heading home. The carpet guys are supposed to come between 1230 and 1 and start laying the basement, basement hall, basement stairs, garage entry carpet.
Dad and I will be demoing the dry wall in the hall bath upstairs and removing the vanity and mirror.
We're also going to buy repalcement ceiling tile for the basement and put that in whenever the carpet guys are done.

At some point this weekend we're going to a clearance home fixture store and looking for a new vanity and mirror, we'll also be packing up everything in sight in my house to prepare for the hardwood floor install which I'm hoping will be week after next. The guys are coming to assess the job Saturday morning.
I'm tired already, but so grateful my parents are coming to help
