If You Know ANYONE in Tulsa....
and they are considering getting some senior pics, family portraits, wedding or dance photography, kindly send them here, please:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. That's my wife's website. And they can find all the contact info there. And if you all happen to check it out, I don't think Maranda would mind the site traffic. THANK YOU!!!!
Re: If You Know ANYONE in Tulsa....
Off topic, but I went to the site tonight, wanting to check it out. I had tucked my kids into bed, and was setting in, and saw this post, and clicked the link. Then I clicked Enter This Site, and this music started blasting, with no way to turn it off. The page hadn't even loaded yet, but the sound was loud. I immediately closed the browser, because I didn't want to wake the kids. It might have featured a mute link, or a volume control, but I didn't see it the 2 seconds I was there, so I don't know.
My free, unsolicited advice, as a web developer and, currently, as a dad who didn't appreciate music coming out of my computer unexpectedly, is to remove that song, which plays on page load, from the site. True, most people won't have sleeping kids to consider when visiting the site, but they might be at work, or they might just not like sound coming out without being warned first. Plus, that music makes the page load a lot slower.
That's my first impression of the site, priced at exactly 2 cents. I will add that, besides this place, I hang out at a forum for web developers, and the overwhelming consensus there is that automatically-playing music on a page with no reasonable expectation of it is a huge no-no. The consensus is not 100%, but it's close.

Re: If You Know ANYONE in Tulsa....
The same thing happened to me, MT, sans the sleeping kids. I couldn't hear the television program I was listening to, and the page wasn't loading, so I actually closed out of it as well. And, actually, the music kept playing after the window was closed, too!
I think it is really common with photographers to have music on their pages, but I find it an unsolicited intrusion. Nowadays, when people are almost always multitasking, it can be dissuading.
BUT, that said, the two pictures on the opening page were very intriguing, and I wished to see more. The page just wouldn't load...

So, I had my computer on mute and didn't hear the music. I didn't notice that once you get into the photography section, there is a spot on the side to turn it off. And it loaded fine for me.
Cute pups, Josh.

photographs are amazing! She's got quite an eye for unique and spectacular shots!
I do agree with the music though for what that's worth.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'll let Maranda know...I never considered the music could be a distraction or dissuader.

Every time Wallie hears that, he howls like the dickens. I try to tell him he's howling at himself, but he doesn't seem to understand.
