Well, I have started a blog. Well, two, but one is for a workshop I am doing for work. The other is for images from the world around me...

Check 'er out!

I wish I could have captured the entire experience on that one, Angie. The tower like part of it was a home to what I am assuming was a TON of pigeons. I only saw one (who landed on the roof and then flew up under the eaves and was gone), but when I rolled down my window to take the picture, all I could hear was a symphony of cooing. It was really peaceful and cool.

That portion of Detroit used to be a bustling area only a mile or two from the downtown. Now, it is basically desolate. It's kind of like wilderness. Urban wilderness, if that's possible. There are whole blocks where only one building still exists, and even it is boarded up and abandoned. And by whole blocks, I don't mean along just one street. I mean that the land between streets is open field. And the blocks spread on for quite a ways.

I have always wanted to do that. But, not in Detroit. It really isn't worth it--stumbling into social settings no one should stumble into can get you killed.

The next time I'm in PA with you, where the only danger is structural collapse, let's do that!!! Smile

I love the old architecture of Detroit. Those buildings are still beautiful! There are so many abandoned beautiful structures, I used to enjoy driving through Detroit, I wish I had had a better camera back then.

I forgot to take a picture before cutting it... but it turned out really good. We never had too many over ripe bananas because the rabbit always got 2 or a 3 in a week. She died last week though, and so that's how many we had left over.
