un-PC music
When I was a kid, I remember some adults I knew who had an album by Joe Tex. He sang songs that would be derided these days as very un-PC, but for head-shaking purposes, they're worth sharing. It should be noted that these were actually big hits, played on mainstream radio. Hard to believe.

As a kid, I actually asked them to play "I Gotcha" on the record player for me. Amazing.

It's nice to know that some things translate across the generations. It's just unfortunate that that's one of them.
