In other words......Done! :D
Quick Reply?
It's a God-send! Especially when I was working in the office and people were walking past my desk all day. With the regular Post Reply, there's the bank of smileys that guarantee that I am not doing anything professional. Where, with the Quick Reply, it just looks like a bunch of text--if you scroll down past the people's avatars.
At DMF, if you quoted, it would still let you use QR. Apparently, here that isn't an option. So, that means, I won't be quoting much from here on out!

There is a quote button at the top of the quick reply but you'll have to copy and paste the text.

Re: Format Suggestions
I am getting really irritated with where the forum takes me after I post. If it is a thread with multiple pages, for some reason, it takes me to the last page of the thread which is actually the oldest posts. i wonder if there is an option to return to the board after posting, rather than returning to the thread? I don't need to see what I've posted...
And, if I click on the icon for the new posts, it takes me to the last page too--if there are multiple pages. I think it has to do with having the newest posts listed first, but I don't really know. Is anyone else having that problem?

Bethany, I don't know where you posted about it, but you mentioned that the site was warning you when a new post was added to the thread you were trying to add to while you were typing. And it was warning you about your own post...
Well, that happened to me too, but I scrolled down and sure enough there was a new post below my own post. At DMF, it wouldn't include what you were typing, just show the other person's thread. This one shows your new post first and THEN shows the other person's post. Just an FYI...
I was confused by it too and was like, "So that's what Bethany meant!" but then scrolled down a bit and saw that indeed, someone else had posted while I was typing...

Re: Format Suggestions
yeah, I don't like the return to the last page option either, I'd rather just go back to the board I'm posting in (random etc)
It only shows my post as a posted at the same time post when I hit the send button twice

I was just messing around with the map on Who's Online and kinda got creeped out a bit at the thought of strangers coming on and not only reading what I post, but also being able to see where I am located...is there a way to hide everything from non-registered lurkers??

Re: Format Suggestions
So Mel, it says that you are currently in Norway.
Anything you need to tell us?
Also, Pete...did you just change her settings? Because it still shows Katy and I in Portland and Cincinnati respectively.....

Re: Format Suggestions
Yeah, I just zoomed in on my location and it literally shows 1 street over from where I'm sitting.
Other than Katy and Mel I don't any of you knowing where I work!?!?!

What I did was change the settings so that only members can find other members. The "Who's online" option is now for members only. I can tighten security even more by having to approve members if you'd like me too. Or we can just put a big ole lock down on the entire forum if you'd like.
Or I can just ban bob "the stalker" and solve the whole problem.
Re: Format Suggestions
Well, I would believe that it was fixed for members only if I didn't see that Melissa is in Norway. Which last time I checked was a few miles from Michigan!
Re: Format Suggestions
We are used to relative security, so it might be nice for a required registration to view the boards...

If there are others you miss please let me know by tomorrow sometime so the Admin can go snatch it from there before it gets shut down!!
The Administrator owes me some favors so I'll get him to get that done.

I heard you two were very close.
Maybe a little too close.
