So, now I have a ton to do because for whatever reason I have been kind of discouraged this week, and eating a lot....once again my self destructive behavior comes into play....but I am trying to fight it this time.

So, I really need to get the house cleaned this evening, and go to the grocery store. There are many preparations to be made for dinner tomorrow night. And today, I think I will plan out the scavenger hunt. Should I wrap the guitar in its box, or just leave it out in its case?

Working, then working out with the trainer (since I couldn't make it Tuesday), then to the dogsitting house to let the dog play outside for a bit, then to a meeting about my mission trip to Mexico.

Yay!!! I am home! on my vacation! Finally!

I have stuff to do around the house and some reading, etc. It's rainy and dreary, so I might actually get some stuff done!

I still don't feel well. My head isn't as clogged, but I have a cough and my stomach is upset with all the 'unclogged' gunk in it.

so, Melissa, what is this cleanse that you are doing? I am not sure where to go from here....I don't want to go back up....but I guess I am looking for that Eutopia of eating what I want.....I do understand that it does not exist.

Well, I haven't started yet. But, I want to start soon! I had to get some resources first, and I am going on a retreat this weekend so I will start when I come back. But, the cleanse is from this book:

I have felt for a long time that I have an issue with yeast and she has a protocol for killing it back. I also have had issues with Salmonella in the past and haven't been able to eat eggs for 5 years. So, it would be nice to try to rectify that situation, if possible.

She also has a Fat Flush Plan too. But, I think a lot of my issues (even with fat) have to do with my gut not working properly.

Maybe I'll try this too. I was wandering through borders the other day to see if there was some kind of idea i could use to supplement my WW. I've gained about 11 pounds since january, and it's getting more and more discouraging.

But, I am getting more and more aware of symptoms and my 'gut' instinct (heh!) is that it's all digestion related. So, I am giving this a shot. We shall see.

I really like the structure of ww, and the way it makes you accountable... i just feel like I need an extra boost to get going again... if that makes sense.

I have, for a while now, wanted to see a counselor that specializes in weight loss, and I had found one last year but never followed up because I couldn't afford the weekly co-pay, but I decided to try again... but my insurance changed and now it's not covered. So, I'll have to see if I can make it a once a month thing... and see if I can find her again since I can't remember where I located her info.

So, I went and looked at the book on my lunch and unfortunately there is far too much fish/seafood on it... and i can't really handle either. Oh well.

I just went to the library and back and feel like I can barely move or hold up my head. getting ready for DM live!

I forget the actual number, but a very high percentage of overweight is caused by emotional issues, which is why, for many, dieting just doesn't work.

I know for sure that many times, I eat just to eat - even when I'm not really hungry. I blame Obama.

Well, I can't eat eggs and they use those a lot too. So, I was just going to switch the egg meals out with other options that don't contain eggs from other days.

Well, the problem is, it was fish everday for lunch, and sometimes for dinner... so I'm not real sure what I would swap it with.. and I also really don't like eggs either... although I can eat them. I'm thinking I'm going to try to do a mostly vegetarian diet.. breakfast and lunch are the meals I'm most in control of, whereas dinner is one that is basically what the person cooking at home decides. So, I'm thinking I'll do a non-meat breakfast and lunch and try that for a month or so. We'll see.
