Re: What movie have you seen lately?
We have been watching Potter movies all week for some reason....I think it is time to re read the books!
Along the Neville's real look thing.....I worked with a kid at McD's and he was short and fat and all the girls thought he was a dork, he was 16 at the time...and about 10 years later he was my waiter at Applebee's, and I didn't even recognize him, he could've been a male model.

Saw a kids movie today. Romana and Beezus or some such thing.
It was alright. My kids liked it.

We saw that today too. I thought it was good... I LOVE Beverly Clearly...not to mention she's an icon in Portland.

Way too complicated! Too many plots/sub-plots being woven together.
If you saw it and you can honestly say you liked it - that means that you understood it completely. If that's true - you're an effing genius (or you're very warped).
That said - go see it. It'll give you a popsicle headache.
I just saw it, feel like I got it, and don't have a headache--what does that make me?!
I enjoyed it. A lot! What did you feel was way too complicated?

I finally saw The Hangover. I didn't laugh once. I really don't see what was so great about it. In other words, I didn't like it.

It was entertaining, but all the dream in a dream in a dream in a dream, etc. got confusing. I've seen 2 reviews on TV and read another and they agree that it's confusing and disjointed. I don't go by reviews, but seeing it confirms to me that they're correct.
Maybe it makes more sense if the person watching it is also confusing and disjointed.

Or maybe I just kept my head about me whenever a hot girl or chase scene flashed across the screen...

Oh come on, Mel. Admit it. You like hot girls.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Sure, most are as nice as everyone else. The difference is, I have only one brain with which to "process" hot girls.

I don't think she was implying... I think she was straight out saying.

Very slow, eh? I didn't care for it much, myself. But, I was not really engaged while I was watching it, either.

No, I didn't find it too slow. In fact, I often like slow movies. I just didn't find any of the characters believable, to the point where I almost didn't care when she died at the end. And I'm a person who was totally fascinated by her as a kid. I just think it was sub-par all around. Performances, direction, screenplay, etc.

I didn't see that movie... all i could think of was that it couldn't end well... but I would like to learn more about her... also, I don't think she died, I think she's living on a tropical Island somewhere in the south pacific.

Well, the good news is, Jesus, both dies and lives... and he even rolls away a stone.

Thank God they didn't bring up Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.
That would REALLY blow your mind.

Re: What movie have you seen lately?
Nobody here has heard of this, except perhaps Bob, but I re-watched Kelly's Heroes this week. Classic from 1970. Full of stars: Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, Harry Dean Stanton, Don Rickles.
Re: What movie have you seen lately?
I have actually heard of that... my dad likes that movie.
