It's so frustrating!

I was just blown away by a concept offered by Scott McKight at Mars Hill: the Good Samaritan story shows priests who love God and refuse to love their neighbors and a Samaritian who loves his neighbor and obviously loves God by doing so. He fulfills both of the greatest commandments by doing the second one where the priests break the second one by focusing too closely on the first.

Anyway - that's pretty cool, Mel.

If you go by scripture, did the priest who refused to love his neighbor REALLY love God - or did he love religion? Can you really love God and not love your neighbor. Scripture says - If you love me - keep my commandments.

I really hate paying bills when you try to decide who's getting paid this month and who's waiting a month and you realize there are some bills that just can't wait without causing problems with the current sale.

I hate borrowing money.

Took me 2 hours to get to work this morning. Errrrrr!

But, made it to lunch without any major events, so that's good. Although, I might be speaking too soon.

Bob, McKnight's point was that, according to their devotion to God, they weren't allowed to touch something that was dead (which they probably assumed the guy was). So, they were, in essence, trying to show God their love and devotion. In doing so, they broke the second "greatest" commandment. Yes, they were loving their religion, but he was giving them the benefit of the doubt that they were trying to love God with their heart and soul.

well, here it is, Thursday. I have really been having a hard time not overeating this week. I am not eating junk, just too much. But I also think sometimes you just have to listen to your body...as long as my scale doesn't go up, I am not going to worry. I still have that 10 lbs.....but maybe it is just going to take time.

So, today I have to go to the elementary school for an Adopt An Artist presentation and project, and then we have father's night tonight at the nursery school....so, another full day. I have to find time at some point to go running, because I didn't get up early enough this morning.

That is my Thursday....along with cleaning, so I can leave with Nate as early as possible on Saturday! I love our little Chautauqua get aways!

Meeting with the appraiser any minute now, then work at 12-8 and then probably home to crash on the couch, I have a feeling it's going to be a long day.

On a great note, my throat is not nearly as sore or swollen today!! Woot!
