Friday!!!!

We did a lot of exploring yesterday. Went to Forest Park, which is like NYC's Central Park and also where the World's Fair was set up on 1904. We walked around and saw some of the sights there.

Then we went to the Basilica, an enormous Catholic church that is amazing!!

We had dinner and chilled out. It has been nice so far. Only thing is, the heat and humidity has me swollen like crazy and my allergies seem to be short-circuiting with all the new pollens etc.

I hung out with Pete's brother and friends last night at a campfire thing and had a lot of fun. I went 4wheeling which was fun and scary. It was the first time I'd been on any open air vehicle except a golf cart.
We went around the country roads and over some sand place where we and the other 4wheeler got stuck. I was riding with Pete's brother, but the other guy dug in and was trying to get out right in front of us. So their 4wheeler kicked up massive amount os damp sand at us and it went EVERYWHERE all over us uncluded but not limited to in my mouth and down my shirt.

It took my like 30 minutes to comb out the knots in my hair too but it was a lot of fun

Why do short work weeks seem to take longer to get through than regular work weeks?
Working then cleaning my house and doing some laundry. I think I'm going to start organizing the 3rd bedroom in anticipation of Pete moving since I'll have to make room there for the queen bed that's currently living in Pete's "room"

I had a meeting today at work then lunch with the parents. Came home last night to find a giant hole in the wall of my office. They took the old window out last night not realizing that it was part of the wall on the inside as well.

They made the attempt to clean up the mess of stuff that flew all over the place, but I guess it's my motivation to remove the rest of the stuff from there. It should be covered up by tonight.

Oh the joys of this.

How was the pizza hut/chinese food buffet?

I signed up for swagbucks today and have been preoccupied with trying to earn points

I cleaned for the Pataski's today, and I am heading to the Beechwood in an hour or so to work tonight. So, that is pretty much my day.

It was Chinese today and it was pretty good.

What is swagbucks? I guess I could google it and find out if I really wanted to know huh?

Getting out of Work now and then possibly a benefit concert for a ministry in South Africa and the ending up at a friend's bonfire. Should be a pretty laid back evening.

Yesterday, I got home and chilled. The first time in a while I had a couple consecutive hours at home where sleep wasn't required. It was nice to read and putz. I want to make more time for that--although, I think there should be a "no FB" rule...

ONE WEEK UNTIL I SEE KATY!

I guess I should start cleaning.

I'll be so tired the night I arrive I won't even notice. I'll get in at 2am my time after being up at 5am to get ready and leave for work....that's a looooong time.
Hopefully I sleep on the plane like I did last time. Hello 3 seat row with only 2 people in it!

The wife of the couple I'm dogsitting for this weekend works at a local bakery. She BAKED me a CAKE. Chocolate with chocolate icing to just eat or take home or whatever.
I'm going to need more milk.

It's VACATION DAY!
I fly out at 7pm tonight and will come back at 7am Monday the 5th.
I'm going offline starting when I board the plane tonight so I won't be on here again until the 5th.
I'm so excited to see Katy!

No worries... my dad took down the rhododendron bush next to my window... so there will be lots of room for your equipment.
