Re: Monday!!!
They went well, I'm feeling the post holiday sludge creeping up.
I've been fighting off some crazy ass depression (my butt is sad...kidding!) But with insurances changes I'll be able to afford to find a therapist that can create a plan of action to address the underlying issues so I can get on with my freakin life already.
Mostly I'm just hiding by playing the Wii

Re: Monday!!!
Merry Christmas!
I had a great (though extremely tiring) Christmas in Ohio. Great time with Megan's brother's 2 kids and the rest of her family. Sleeping on the couch (w/ megan on the floor) in the living room, though, does not make for great sleeping. Especially when there are 2 young kids who get up very early! Still, I'm absolutely in love w/ Carmen (the 2 year old).
Now, getting back to nyc, on the other hand, was quite the adventure. I was supposed to fly back monday night but the flight was cancelled. The earliest they could get me out was tomorrow (Thursday)! So, I rented a car yesterday and drove back (alone - megan's staying in ohio a bit longer). The driving was actually great almost the whole way. Sunny, no traffic, and no snow on the road. Until I hit the city. It's an absolute mess, and then I was going to our place in brooklyn to drop some stuff off before dropping the rental car off at laguardia. Big mistake! They hadn't plowed any of the roads in my neighborhood. I got stuck in the middle of the street. Had to pay some random guys to dig me out (took over an hour) and then I almost got stuck again. Parked about 4 blocks from my apartment on one of the few plowed roads and made a couple of trips through the snow carrying all of this crap that we've been needing to take back from Ohio. Then had to make it to the car rental place on all these treacherous roads, using the GPS on my phone, which then died a few turns before getting there (thank God I noticed it dying and quickly memorized the route).
Anyway, back at work now, with what I believe is the start of a sinus/ear infection. I need sleep!

Wow! What an adventure Dave! I'm so glad you made it home safe and sound. When is Megan coming back to NY?
Re: Monday!!!
That is quite an adventure, Dave!
Bethany, I really hope and pray the insurance stuff works out, I know that having a good counselor was so important to me moving forward in life. I still get sidetracked, but not stuck as often.
Pete, so glad that you had a happy Christmas.

She flies back on Tuesday. And I think sometime between now and then she's spending a couple of days in Michigan with her sister. By the way, have you ever shopped at "Finders?" That place is awesome.
