Monday!!!

Well, here we are! I slept in today! Yippee!!

I believe I am going to run some errands and get some work done today. I am fighting the urge to stay in my PJs again all day.

I also need to do some kind of physical activity today. Please hit me if, at the end of the day, I haven't exercised in some form or fashion...

I was starting a Monday thread, then got distracted and realized I should check before I posted. I'm glad I did

Working today, then home to clean, do laundry and bake cookies. I have so much to do and not a lot of time to do it.

Are you having people over? What are your plans for this week?

My friend and co worker Lori is hopefully coming over Wednesday and going to Christmas Eve Eve service with me and staying the night. My parents might be coming in Wednesday as well, but at the latest Thursday and staying through Sunday.
So I have to clean the main areas, change the sheets on 3 beds, vacuum, clean the bathrooms, bake cookies and wrap gifts.

Sometimes I feel like out sales reps have NO common sense. Either that or a blatant disregard for how their laziness impacts others.

On another note, I'm really annoyed that the ONE person in our department that is cutting corners and causing more work for the rest of us is not being addressed directly.
Our manager had a meeting, made us all say affirming things about each other and then said if we have a problem with each other we're to take it up with them ourselves.
Ug. Isn't SHE the manager? So not I have to confront my coworkers too? So annoying.

Yeah, I emailed her and BCC'd my supervisor asking her to note when she makes changes to an order. The problem is that she doesn't note because she doesn't want it to come back to her and she have to do the rest of the work, so we get stuck sorting through what happened because it's not noted and then doing whatever it is the customer wants to follow up with

Well, I am officially caught up on all things that would keep me in bed today...kinda...I do have some reading to do...hmmm...

Anyway, I was saying I should get up and map out what I am going to do today and the rest of the week, but maybe I will do my reading first!

I wish I could stay in bed
But even if I was home that wouldn't work the best (although I could take 30-60 minute breaks while doing other things....)

Yeah, it's going well. I think she is happy being here, although she hasn't gotten her bearings yet. She kind of gets lost in the house. :shock:

It is just a matter of working out some of the small details, but other than that, I am fine with it too. I work with individuals who need more intensive intervention everyday, so it doesn't seem so bad to me.

I was up late working on two funeral luncheons, one for today and one for tomorrow. While I feel good because the extra money will come in handy, I feel bad for the families having to deal with a funeral during Christmas. I've been there and done that and Christmas eve is never the same after you bury a loved one on that day.

After I deliver the funeral lunch then I have to go track down another 5# of turkey for the lunch tomorrow, get my laundry done, clean my bedroom and get my banking/ bills done....all before 3:30 when I leave for work.

Hope I make it to Christmas in one piece!

Yesterday, at church this woman sang "I'm Alive" by Willie Nelson/Kenny Chesney. Which has a line, "Breathing in and out is a blessing."

They told her story beforehand: 2 years ago, she battled throat cancer and was told she would never sing again, and possibly wouldn't be able to breathe on her own. She fought and won.

Recently, she found another mass on her throat, and she receives word of its biopsy on Christmas Eve. She was already planning on singing this song when she found the mass, etc. She sang, we all cried, and then we gave her a standing ovation and prayed as a congregation for her strength, peace, and healing.

It was an amazingly intense moment. And it didn't even deal with death, only the potential of it. But, Yeah, there is something that makes such hard issues even harder at the holidays.

Ordered a chicken salad for lunch, with a side of fries
I really need to get back on the preparing meals on the weekend bandwagon
