Wednesday!

I had surprise overnight guests last night, my friend Lisa, husband (I was maid of honor in their wedding) and their son Ryder (2ish)
They brought their dog, a little terrier, with them and he wandered around my house last night. The cats were not amused.
Gertrude hissed and immediately hid downstairs. She came out a little later when it seemed everyone was in bed and was skulking around the edges of the room. When I tried to pet her she growled at me and hiss while running back downstairs.
Agnes tripled in size by sheer hair volume poufing out. She also only slid along the floor virtually doing the splits (I'm not sure how that helped)
She came back upstairs a few hours later and was walking by the table when she realized the alien animal was still in the house and she tripled in size again.

I'm pretty sure they're going to be super pissed when I come home. But at least the dog slept locked in the 2nd bedroom so they could come upstairs safely at night!

Today was a long day and tomorrow is going to be INSANE!! I haven't closed on Christmas Eve in quite some time, but this year my luck ran out. It's one of the craziest days and closing early only amplifies the craziness. Hoping I can keep my head on straight to get out of there as quick as possible to make it to my parents and then to church.

That's how it is every time we leave for vacation. Ridiculously crazy! Good luck, Pete!

I'm hopeful that today is the day my cold turns the corner towards starting to feel better.

Nine days till vacation.

I basically got 11 hours of sleep last night and felt better for most of the day although a student's screamfest at the end of the day has the headache re-blossoming.

Heading to the chiropractor then home to catch up on chores and work that I have pushed off the last couple nights!

Oh, and Katy, where are you going on vacation and for how long?

SF- 4 days. I leave thursday afternoon and get back monday night. It's a long story as to why, but the trip was being paid for through someone else, so I had to wait to set it up and wasn't sure if I was going to get to go this month or not.

So, we finally got the scan on our computer and it founnd 114,792 images....and I was sorting through them and accidentally hit the wrong button and restarted the scan which takes 10 hours.

On a positive note, it had found many of the pics we were hoping it would find.

I gained a lot of weight over the holidays, and although I am spending a great deal more time cleaning, I don't feel like the house is very clean or organized.

So, I am in one of those places where I have to make the right choices about my attitudes....and of course that is really hard.

And I need to think of something to make for dinner.....

I'm all caught up on work stuff! For the first time since last May!
I'm feeling a bit better today, but I'm really cautious about it, I'm afraid it won't last.

Gosh, Angie, all your trials really make it obvious to me that I need to backup my files!!

It took me close to 2 months to lose 7lbs and I gained 6 back over the 2 weeks of the holidays. What a hassle!! How does it go on so quickly but is so hard to take off?!

Bethany, what a feat! Glad you're all caught up! Have you guys noticed a decrease in sales this year?

We're actually still growing as a company. Not as aggressively but growing nonetheless.

They're predicting 6-8" of snow tomorrow. Which means we'll get nothing or a foot. I brought the snow shovel out of the shed just in case.

I had a long day at work. Got called in early because my boss had to go to the E.R. and said she would be back in an hour or so. She called two hours later to say they wanted to admit her and keep her over night and then told me about the five things she didn't get done. Most of which were due to be done (orders and such) in the next half hour. Mind you I was short handed and had cars around the building in the drive thru and 35 people waiting to order in the dining room.

All in all it worked out, but we had one manager out deathly ill, one in the ER, one totaled her car the night before and was off work and the only other manager had the day off and couldn't be reached. I thought for sure I would be there all night as well, but the manager who totaled her car got a ride in and was thankfully o.k. and I got to come home.

After spending an hour on the phone with my boss, her boss, and the other managers it seems the rest of the week should be o.k. but the month following could be chaos if my boss has surgery. Hopefully all goes well and I can still go on vacation.

I'm just glad to be home with the stir fry ready to come off the stove and watching Modern Family.

It's Wednesday morning at 1:30am. I need to get to bed. Due to some scheduling conflicts with my friend I'm not leaving until noon today. I should be resting so I'm ready to drive 3 hours tomorrow.

I'm not tired though.

Maybe I should lay down and at least try it though.

I called off again today.

Mel, it's ok to call off especially when you're in so much pain. I never feel like it is either, so I thought maybe you needed to hear that.

Pete, where are you going?!

I'm still freaking out about the 7 lbs.

Yeah, I just kind of feel guilty for it. They give us the days but then don't like when we use them. And it throws my students off. But, I am better here than I would be there!

That is really awesome about the 7lbs, Bethany! I need to recommit to weightloss once again. You're an inspiration!

I'm heading to Grand Rapids Michigan to spend the next couple of days with an old friend from college. I usually only make it up there about once a year.

Once my coffee kicks in I can get out of here.

I need coffee. I took nyquil at about 1 last night and I overslept.

Can I go home now?

I am kind of hiding out avoiding financial issues....I know things are going to be okay, but I am a little freaked out about life.....I think it is probably hormonal.....I am just back to the point where I feel like I am totally out of control of everything....which I am but...you know...

Today's Wednesday, right? I think so, but feel unsure...

I actually woke up this morning! Like, when my alarm went off, my brain turned on! It's been a long time since that happened! I had fallen asleep watching Jimmy, so I restarted it and found it to be very fun to wake up with him! .

I am taking a friend dinner this evening--they had a baby a couple weeks ago. Then, o am hoping to relax a bit. I feel like I have been go-go-going lately. It does feel good to be rested, though. Thank God!
