we just got in from the lake...good day for swimming! And the lake is actually quite lovely!

I had a hard time remembering what day it was today.
I slept like the dead and I'm still so blasted tired.
Tonight I'm meeting with the training people at my gym. My contract with my trainer is expiring next month and they want me to re-sign up. I was going to cancel to save money, but they said if I cancelled and then re-signed up I would pay new client rates, but if I just renewed and stayed just like I am now then my cost would drop $50/month so now I'm torn.

Also, they have a tiered plan that is $45/month cheaper than I pay now. I get 60 sessions in the year and would work with the trainer 3 times per week the first month 2 times per week the 2nd months and months 3-12 I would do once a week.
I really think I'm going to sign up for the tiered plan. Once a week is really not enough, because sometimes that's the only time I go to the gym, but I don't think I want to go 3 times a week for the whole year.
So we'll see. It's contingent right now on them not making me pay first and last month tonight or even in September. I want to just pay my current monthtly cost this month and next and then drop and pay the new rate every month.

Apparently I have a swollen tonsils. And they hurt.

Are those training prices in addition to the gym membership?

Mel, the prices are in addition to the gym membership. But I have a free membership to the gym as part of my benefits package at work so I personally only have to pay for the trainer (which is the ONLY way I can do it)

I am going to pick Prowler up today! I am nervous about the bill, but glad he is coming home....I also am going to have to groom him, because he was smelling pretty awful yesterday when I visited him...but I guess when you are sick you don't smell like roses.

It is really hot today. I worked at St. Steves and now I guess I should start doing some housework...but it is hot. Perhaps a nap....

Did they ever figure out what the problem was?

Katy, I'm getting the feeling you're falling apart. I bet the weather in Cinci would make you feel like a new person.

I'm off work for the rest of the day. Yeah! It was a long morning. We launched our new salads today so it the morning was filled with changing menu boards, changing prices, hanging posters, etc... We also did a schedule swap, the manager that works only mornings was put on a mid day shift because she can't do most of what we did this morning and she complained all through lunch shift how awful working a mid day shift is. I told her it's what the rest of us do 3 or 4 days a week and a chance for her to see what working all day is and maybe she'd stop talking about how easy our shifts are. She stopped talking to us.

Not sure what to do the rest of the day but I need to find something to do. Perhaps swimming again.

Bethany, it was pancreatitus...so he is on a low fat diet and some meds....he is doing great, so happy to be home, he was rolling in the living room because he was happy!

and Melissa there was this girl at the vet with her cat today, and she reminded me so much of you....I wanted to ask if she was a teacher, but I didn't get to talk to her.

Bethany, that is expensive. I wish I could afford something like it, though, because I think it is worth it. I am going to join the gym by my house soon. I just need to do SOMETHING.

Yeah, so apparently I have to pay first and last months for a new contract. They also charge a $10 cancellation charge if I don't renew. I think I'm going to just auto renew and keep going. It will still be $170/month but I just can't pay $307 for the new year different level contract.
It will be month to month so at anytime if I feel like going back to a contract and paying first and last month I can do it that time at return customer pricing.

It is expensive, but like you said Mel, it's worth it. There is NO way I would be able to do it without the membership being paid for by my work

Oh, and I got my lawn tamed tonight!
My kind (but very very racist) neighbor was walking by and I asked him if he would cut the one side of the yard and I would pay him, he did it for free!
So while he finished cutting the larger side of the yard I trimmed the drive and all the sidewalks, the flower beds and back fence line.
I also weeded the flower beds and watered them. Such a relief, I was running out of steam and wouldn't have been able to work on it again until Saturday afternoon!

I can't quite explain it...she just had this really neat way of speaking with the other people in the waiting room....the way she was talking to them about their pets, and she was just so caring and she did look kind of like you....I can't really pin point it, but I wanted to be her friend.

I have to put my trash out on Wednesday night for Thursday pick ups. It has been that way for almost TWO YEARS.
Yet almost every Wednesday morning I freak out and run my trash out to the curb before I realize that pick up is THURSDAY morning not Wednesday.

Today I turned around and drove back to my house to do it before I realized I had the day wrong again.

Working today, then killing 2 hours after work before I meet Alaina for dinner. We've been friends since 7th grade and she's moving from Cincinnati to DC at the end of the month.
I think I'm going to go pick up a yoga mat for working out at home and look at area rugs for the living room.

I really feel like shopping today....so I have to try to find other distractions. So we are going to walk to the library, and maybe we will go to the lake or something.

What really needs done is cleaning....and maybe I'll get to that too.

I miss shopping too. The lake sounds like a great distraction though!

It is sad, but honestly we just don't hang out that much anymore. There's this weird vibe going on where I'm sad she's leaving but it's also a little nice because we (or at least I) put pressure on to hang out more but we're just in totally different places/worlds now.

I love her, but I just don't seem to fit anywhere in her life really. Which would be ok if we did stuff together but the only time we can seem to meet up it's at parties with all her friends, or when we can meet on our own (like tonight for dinner for example) she'll bring her girlfriend with her and it will be just the 3 of us cozily awkward (and while her girlfriend makes her happy she really annoys the crap out of me)

That's a tough spot to be in. I have a friend or two like that, we feel like we should hang out, but when we do we really have nothing to talk about because we live two very different lives with nothing in common anymore.

As far as the girlfriend annoying the crap out of you, that happens often, but it says a lot about your friendship with her that you're willing to put up with it to get to see her before she leaves.

My boss is out today, so it should be a nice quiet day at work. He has a migraine. I'm secretly hoping I gave him my cold since last week he was boasting about having an iron immune system.
