Um, do I need any other reasons to see this movie?

Is it the hot cross buns?
Re: What movie have you seen lately?
After not having seen a movie in many, many months we finally rented a few over the last couple of weeks. Saw "The Informant," "Up In The Air" and "Invictus." Megan and I liked all 3 of them quite a bit. Damon is an incredibly versatile actor. Clooney does not have the range that Damon has, but is very smart about choosing his roles and what he does he does really well.
Also saw "Get Him to the Greek" in the theater and laughed our asses off. Funny flick, if you don't mind a little raunchy humor now and then.

The Informant was a bit weird and disconnected for me, but I loved Up in the Air and Invictus.

I probably was able to relate to it more as I can often be a bit weird and disconnected myself.

I rewatched The Pursuit of Happyness last night. Very frustrating movie to watch. One dang thing after another for that guy. But it was uplifting, which is why I watched it again.
Re: What movie have you seen lately?
I watched The Men Who Stare at Goats recently and while it was quirky and interesting, I found the underlying message very deep and compelling. Hard to explain, though. I don't believe in the psychic stuff, but it seemed like the tactics all had an 'out of the box' or even spiritual element.
Watching Hurt Locker right now, but don't know if I will be able to take the intensity.

The Hurt Locker remained intense, but is a very good movie.
I watched An Education last night. VERY well done, although it's kind of a sad story--loss of innocence stuff.
I am down to 3 movies on my Netflix Queue...trying to get rid of it!

Took Megan out to the movies last night for her birthday. We saw the Joan Rivers documentary, "Piece of Work" and absolutely loved it. Absolutely fascinating, and really funny. And even quite moving. Very good flick.

Re: What movie have you seen lately?
I liked Joan Rivers until I saw her on Celebrity Apprentice.
She was obnoxious, arrogant and WAY over the top as far as being a mother hen regarding her daughter who, BTW is also obnoxious and arrogant.
Other than that they seem like very nice people.

Did you say, Alice in Wonderland?
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small
When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know
When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said;
"Keep YOUR HEAD

Toy Story 3--very well done. It actually made me really sad at the end. Sounds dumb, but I felt kinda guilty, too.

Nate and I watched Shutter Island this weekend. It was really good, but only if you like very disturbing movies.

Re: What movie have you seen lately?
In what way was it disturbing, Angie? That was one I was curious about, but I don't like scary movies and it seems like it would have a lot of elements that could be scary.

Re: What movie have you seen lately?
well, a lot of very graphic imagery of the holocaust, children....honestly though it is very good....I wasn't expecting it to be more than a scary movie....but I really liked it.

Re: What movie have you seen lately?
I know a lot of people who didn't care for the movie all that much beause of the ending. My daughter-in-law loved the book, but was disappointed in the movie.
Was the ending lame?

Re: What movie have you seen lately?
No, it was actually great imo....but when I went on IMDB and read people's take on it, I swa that they didn't get it....not what I got out of it.

Is it based on a true story?
