Saturday!!

I've been lazy today, I slept in, did some laundry and picked up the living room and watched a movie. Now it's time to get ready for work. It's been nice not even getting dressed today. Wish I could stay in my pajamas the rest of the day. The last time I looked out a window the roads were clear and the 1" white death we got seems to have been cleared from anywhere it needs to be.

Soooo....lazy pj day didn't go so well.
I shoveled the driveway here at this house and was recouperating from that when my sister called. Apparently her washer cold water thingamabob busted and there were about 2-3" of standing water all over her basement. So I got dressed and headed over there about 2. Spent the next 3 hours hauling a ton of stuff up from her basement and trying to get stuff dried out.
Also tried to help mediate a ridiculously timed fight between her and Jeff.

Then went to my house to throw in some of her laundry that was soaked in the flood. Dug out the end of my drive the plow covered (thankfully someone snow blowed my drive thank you Jesus) and ended up digging out my neighbors car and pushing her out of her drive too. Drove back to my sisters house to deliver some empty baskets so she could load up the rest of her wet stuff to wash at my house and drove back to the dogsitting house to find the dog had jumped up to the counter and eaten some food I had left on it.
Ugh.

I'm tired

I took half of it. The other half I spent at work, you could have that part of the day back if you'd like.

Finishing up some reading and getting ready to head to a BBQ for the Homeless of Detroit. Should make for an interesting day!

The sun is shining, so I am happy!

I think we are going hiking this afternoon....I don't know why, but I am a little melancholy this morning....I did dishes, but that is pretty much it, and there is so much I need to do.

I'm just going to roll with it, I think....and see what comes of the day.

I scrubbed my kitchen down yesterday....so today it is the living rooms turn for a good scrub down and maybe my bedroom....

other than that, no plans, but we will do something.

Anybody have any exciting plans?

Final details in shower planning--cake and flowers--and maybe visiting my grandma. I also need to spend some time regrouping. My week was a bit hectic and I have been trying to not get like that...

Up early for a leadership meeting at church, home to find Pete up and working on my house.
I'll get started on cleaning the bathroom up to prep for mudding soon. Later we're going to the Freedom Center (Underground Railroad Museum) with Dan and Sarah.

Of course I'm totally unmotivated for it all

Trying to must the energy to get moving on this Saturday morning, but it isn't working so well.

I have plans with friends at 4PM to see a movie about autism at an art theater and then dinner. And in the meantime, I have a couple errands to run. But, I just want to chill...is that bad?!

not bad at all.

I have a couple of hours to get my house clean, funny how 5 rooms can be so over whelming.

Then I'm off to help my brother reorganize his garage since the weather is so nice, and sometime I have to find time to pick up some groceries because these cupboards are bare.

cleaned the kitchen this morning, but there are other areas in need. I think I am going to have some Kahlua laced hot cocoa, and then go for a walk. It is too nice out to stay in.

It is gorgeous here too! My bills are paid and I am out and about running errands! Woowho!

Went to brunch with everyone then shopping at TJ Max and Jungle Jims. After that most people chilled at home while I baked and cooked my ass off
We had an all Pioneer Woman dinner (meatloaf balls, twice baked potatoes, lemon pasta bake, salad and chocolate sheet cake) then just sat around chatting until about midnight. I stayed up to clean a little and finally crashed about 1.
Such a fun but exhausting weekend!

that sounds like a great meal, Bethany. I haven't cooked much since I started trying to lose weight. It sucks.

All caught up on things of the Internet on this dreary Saturday morning and about to settle in with all of my books and journals and studies and catch up on time with the Lord. "The Season" has been good, but I have gotten behind on the Scripture aspect of it.

The rest of the day will be finishing up on shower planning activities. Joy, joy! It's amazing how much money goes into someone else's wedding. I don't ever want to do this to another person. Again.

I agree with being shocked at how much goes into someone else's wedding. As a single person, I'm amazed how much I spend just to be in a wedding, and sometimes just to attend. Depending on the wedding though, it's worth every penny.

You know, I feel guilty thinking this way about one of my best friends. But, it's just a hard time financially. I have been wanting to get out of debt and my budget is stretched as far as it can be just with that. So, having to charge things in order to 'stand with her' is really stress-producing.

I don't charge things for myself, so having to charge things (I think we're looking at about $500-700 when all is said and done) for her is starting to affect my attitude.

yeah, that is a bit much. I'd be getting an attitude as well.


I've just had an incredibly boring day. I should have gotten things done, but instead I've stayed in my p.j.'s all day. Nearly looking forward to going to work to just have something to do. Oh help me, what did I just type?

I had a productive day. A lot of reading done, work for the shower done, sheets washed.

Gonna head to dinner and maybe to a friend's house after. It is rainy and kind of gross outside, which kind of puts a damper on wanting to do anything social, though.

I slept for like 12 hours from Friday to Saturday which had greatly improved my mood.
Then I cleaned my bedroom, linen and coat closets out and redistributed everything in preparation for the floors getting done this week. Carried down all my chairs, the kitchen table, end tables, sofa table and lamps all downstairs. Washed all my clothes and picked up random things.
Lazed around the rest of the night and tried to relax for my big move today.

On Saturday we took the kids to this amazing children's museum, that was so much fun. We have a smaller version here in erie, but this one was 4 stories high and overlooked the James River, and there was an observation deck glassed in on the roof....it was cool!

S-Day! (Like D-Day, but for a shower...)

Up early to get flowers arranged and everything packed up. I have enjoyed planning this, but am going to be very happy when it's over!
