Tuesday!

so, I cried when I dropped the twins off at the high school....not until they were out of the car....but...good grief, really? I didn't peg myself as the emotional about going to high school mom....

My kids are all growing up.

I would have cried too, Angie. They have all grown up so fast--even in the years I have known you guys. It's amazing how childhood is the shortest time period of our lives, and yet the most influential, you know?

It is frightening in some ways....but if we trust God, then we can sleep at night!

Wow, I swear I posted here this morning from my computer, and yet it isn't here...going crazy!

I am heading out to meet with a woman whose son has autism. I am hoping to find some practical solutions for her and to strike up a relationship where I can help her and her family on a regular basis. My mom thinks I should start my own business consulting families affected by ASD. But, I don't think I could charge people money to help them. I just see their hurts and I can't help but offer to take some of it for them.

you could charge their insurance! And then offer free services to those who are uninsured.

I don't think a person working on their own can just charge insurance companies out of the blue, can they? Let alone, most ASD-related stuff isn't even covered by insurance. But, I wonder if there is some kind of loophole...

well, I don't know, but you have a degree, so possibly you could be a counselor. I know my insurance allows us 17 visits a year per person, for counselling for anything....so Andrew's therapist is covered. I'm not sure, but you never know....all services start somehow, maybe it would be worth looking into. You have an amazing heart for these kids, and imagine really being able to help the whole family!

From the amounts of posts here lately it seems like everyones life is riveting and keeping them away from the interwebs. Squeezing every last minute out of summer I imagine

I was at the dentist this morning....totally fascinating.....I fell asleep in the chair!

Not much going on today....depends on if I do chores or just enjoy the day....I have yet to decide!

Fought with the mower this morning. I hope it's just flooded, will try again later or tomorrow between appointments.

I think for now I'll clean the kitchen and finish my laundry for work today.

Oh the excitement of my life.

Lunch is now in the oven. I'm trying to get myself to make a better lunch on the days I work since I don't normally eat supper anymore on those days so today I made an asperagus pasta bake from a recipe Bethany had on the table. It looks yummy and I can't wait until it's done!

It also helps that supper will be complete already when my roommate gets home, you know, in case she's hungry for supper.

I'm getting my attic re-insullated today and vented and all that fun stuff. Working out then home...nothing terribly exciting happening here today

my head hurts from going to the dentist....a lot, I think I am going to take an Aleve.....and I am not big on medicine....and I usually don'[t have trouble with dental work. Also I am afraid half of my face is permanently collapsed from the novacaine shots.

it wasn't a story... I just saw a t-shirt this morning that said "The Pacific Northwest-Where wood comes from". I posted it on facebook and didn't even think it was dirty till I got a response.
