I thought maybe you were psychic (no-not psycho) cuz it was 97 degrees here yesterday and I had to put 3 AC's in last night. Those suckers are heavy!

So we just met and figured it out. The county is not blocking his loan at all, but told him it requires 60 days to finalize the loan so we're going to have a management agreement drawn up where I charge him rent for the store while he runs his business until we can officially close on the loan.

He's anxious to get in because he's taken 2 weeks of vacation beginning on the 7th and he can't change that and he was going to use it to get set up and open so we're getting the contract done so he can move in. I'm officially done with my business.

I told him I would not be cutting him a check at closing for the roof because of the new selling price there would be nothing left and he was o.k. with that.

I have to meet with the lawyer hopefully tomorrow to get all this sorted out but if feels good to be done. As far as moving I have some thinking to do about the timing of that. I may have a renter for the house so I may rent the house out and move and then come back for the closing, but I haven't decided that yet.

Pete I'm so so so so so glad that you and the buyer were able to work something out that is satisfactory for the both of you.
Also, I'm bringing a GIANT bottle of wine that we can drink and talk about this some more tonight.

So I turned over my keys to the store today, and it feels really weird. I'll still be in there once in awhile to teach him a few things and show him some stuff, but I no longer have control of the space.

Tomorrow is going to be really strange. It will be the first Tuesday in 5 years I won't be in the store, that I won't open the doors, and I don't have to feel guilty about it.

It's a big step in the right direction.

Yes, I'm currently staying in my house until I either find work in Cincinnati, or I rent the house out, or the end of July. Whichever comes first.

Wait, so when is your closing date? I was thinking it wasn't until the end of July now....but then again that is like 6 weeks away or something.

yeah, closing is sometime between the end of July and the middle of August, we won't know for sure until it gets closer.

The waiting is getting old.

I'm getting tired of it too, and I'm already living here and settled!

I'm going to plan on moving my stuff down at the end of July, I have to work with my brother who will be driving the truck and trailer, and my uncle who owns the trailer, but will be moving from his house around that time as well. We should hopefully have a date by then so I can figure out when I'll be moving me, quitting my job, etc...

I just can't wait to put this experience behind me and get live there finally!

I can't wait until these legal issues are all settled and complete.


I decided tonight that the end of July is moving time, not just my stuff, but all of me. I have to work with my boss tomorrow to see if it is going to be the last week of July or the first week of August. Either way I drew the line in the sand and set myself some deadlines and it's feeling good.

YAY!

So my last day of work at Wendy's is July 27. I'll be moving at some point during the 7 days after that. I'm not sure how it's going to go down yet as I'll be camping during the weekend.
