How is your other brother and your nieces doing?

Their doing well. He picks them up and takes them to school every morning and most weeks he gets extra nights with them when she decides she's sick or tired or has something to do. So, I think it's going as well as can be expected.

that's good. Those situations are hard for little people. I have a couple of kids in my pre-k class who have similar situations and it is sad to see them have hard days.

No, she's been at a dog agility trial this weekend with two of her dogs. I'm hoping to get to talk to her this week though.

Just saw this - she's in my prayers.

Just asking for some extra prayers in the morning. My friends Art and Leotta are about to go through transplant surgeries. Leotta is donating a kidney to her husband Art and they begin at 7am on Friday.

The hospital they are having this done at does hundreds of them a year, but some extra prayers never hurt anyone.

Actually, if you all think about it, I could use a prayer sent my way. I'm stressed to the point of getting sick to my stomach. Just been one thing after another piled on top of each other to where I wonder when I'm going to hit my breaking point. Dealing with a ton of health problems concerning Megan, work stress, financial stress (since Megan can't work for a while now and we also have to start paying her health insurance ourselves), and some family stress. Feeling really weighed down by all of it, like the bubble's about to burst or something, and can't seem to let go and let God have it.

Wow Dave, that is a lot. I'm praying for you and Megan.

Pete tweeted that he got an update the surgery went well. I'll let him do the rest. I'm assuming prayers for a quick recovery would be next in line.

Yes, I heard this afternoon that Leotta was in recovery and the kidney was in place for Art but his surgery was not quite over at that time. Still waiting for another update to make sure I will be able to visit tomorrow morning, hopefully I'll find out before I make that 2 hour drive.

so, Pete, how long have they been married? That is about the ultimate giving in a relationship! Praying that Art's body takes the kidney and that they both recover quickly!

Dave, I'm so sorry that you are in that place. I will pray that you find peace about all the things that are weighing you down, and that somehow there is a way made that you can overcome things.

thanks, all. Doing a bit better this week. Megan's not in quite as much pain and some of the family stress has calmed down.

They've been married for 11 years but they have been together for nearly 20 years. They are pretty amazing people. Last I heard they should both be home by the end of the week. Modern medicine amazes me.
